Hi, I’m Allison Amato. In 2024, I started Valiente to honor my story—my heritage, experiences, and belief in facing challenges with courage. As a Marine Corps veteran, the values of honor, courage, and commitment have shaped who I am and how I approach everything I do. With Valiente, I combine that mindset with my business operations and management expertise to create simple, effective processes that consistently deliver extraordinary results and happy customers.

I graduated from Campbell University with a bachelor’s in social science and earned a dual master’s degree in criminal justice and project management from Boston University. I also hold several certifications, such as a Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute, Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 27001, and a certification as a CMMI – Associate.

Prior to my role as Founder and CEO of Valiente, I was the Director of Business Operations for a small and emerging Strategy, Management, and Technology Services provider based in Tysons Corner, VA. There, I was responsible for leading several business functions, such as contracts, security, and finance, and for leading their quality efforts. Under my stewardship, we implemented ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, and ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 and were appraised for CMMI-SVC Level 3.

From my position as a Noncommissioned Officer in the Marine Corps to my various leadership positions in the defense contracting, non-profit, and consulting industries, I strive to be adaptable, empower my team and clients to do their work, foster collaboration, and guide organizations toward sustainable growth.
